The Mission A. Reconnecting the grafted branches of the olive tree to its Jewish roots in the Land of Israel. B. The Zerubbabel Commission (TZC) A non-profit foundation to lay again the foundation of the House of God. C. The Mandate Isaiah 51:16 "And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people." The Message of TZC to reconnect Judaism to the God of Israel Isaiah 52:7 says, "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, 'Thy God reigneth!'" The Mission Isaiah 60:1-5 says, "Arise, Shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee."
I would like to introduce what I believe to be a new, yet not so new, opportunity for the Body of Believers around the world. It's an opportunity to participate in the relief of the Saints in Israel today from a flow of our overflow -- financially. We can sow into the congregations from Elat to Shamona; from Tiberias to Tel Aviv, on up to Jerusalem where many congregations of Believers are suffering and experiencing rejection from the commonwealth of Israel simply because they are Believers in the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua. This could be one of the greatest observable demonstrations of the church world today to show its love and care for the Jews in Israel. Like the centurion in Luke 7 that was commended by the religious leaders of their day to Jesus because he loved their Nation and built them synagogues in the Land. And like Cornelius who was visited by an angel in Acts 10. The angel told the Roman centurion that he was a devout man and one that feared God with all his house, who incidentally had given much finances and much prayer toward Israel, that his "prayers and alms had built a memorial before God in heaven". As we are moving toward the Great Tribulation Period, an opportunity avails us. We can truly stimulate the Jews to jealousy as we magnify the ministry of the Gentile church--right before their eyes. Wouldn't it be marvelous if many of us, as evangelical Bodies of Believers, caught the vision? From a little that many of us could give, we'd pour maximum dollars into the numbers of congregations monthly. They then could pour into their economies, into their cities, financial help to all the poor of the Land. This is a large vision; and we have tried to convey the heart behind it, realizing that it is more detailed than perhaps this outline conveys. I believe we just might be raised up "for such a time as this". I, Bob Langfield, President for The Zerubbabel Commission, have been a pastor for 22 years in Klamath Falls, Oregon. I was sent out in 1982 by Jon Courson, who was then the pastor of Applegate Christian Fellowship. I've always known that when God called me to teach His Word in 1975, that I would also be involved in Jewish missions, and now I believe God has given me the opportunity to do just that with the organizing of The Zerubbabel Commission. Through our monthly giving, we will be centralizing finances here in the United States through a national bank located in the US which will then wire funds to the Bank of Israel. There will be accounting both Stateside (handling all the tax-deductible records and such) and from the Distribution Center that will be established in Tiberias, Israel where dollars will be turned into shekels. We developed a board of directors in December of 2004. We will have a liaison in Israel, developing relationships with the Israeli pastors and their congregations for the distribution of the finances from one city to the next, as the Lord supplies. We will also be publishing our newsletter with pictures and reports to keep us abreast of the Lord's blessing to the Bodies of Believers. This is a long awaited fulfillment of scripture. In Romans 11:11-16, Paul the apostle writes, "I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. Now if the fall of them be the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fullness? For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: if by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy , so are the branches." Romans 15:25-28 "But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints. For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things." I want to admonish us all to remember the "least of these My brethren" for as we serve the Israeli's we are, in a very powerful, mystical way, bringing these gifts of helps and relief to Jesus Himself. Please prayerfully consider joining us with a monthly missions' donation to The Zerubbabel Commission. You are welcome to check out our website, T-Z-C.com . Please feel free to contact us with any questions by phone at (541) 884-9556, or by e-mail (via contact form). So then, let us do good unto all men but especially these of the household of faith.
